Coach Chris Gamble is in his 17th season with the Dolphins bringing with him a lifetime of competitive swimming and coaching experience from the local, national and international level. Starting at Hatboro-Horsham High School and Germantown Academy Aquatic club, he earned a full scholarship to Drexel University winning two consecutive conference championships. A true Waterman in every sense, Coach Chris remains active in open water racing, US Masters Swimming, Surfing, Fishing, paddling and almost anything else that requires enjoyment of being in and around the water.
In 30+ years of Coaching in the Mid Atlantic Coach Chris has led his swimmers to success, recording multiple sectional, junior national and Senior National Qualifiers as well as one PIAA record holder. Along the way, he teaches and fosters a love of swimming that will enrich a healthy lifestyle for the future.
Coach Ron, once a Crest Dolphin swimmer and West Chester University Swimming captain, has coached at the collegiate level (Drexel) and national level (Foxcatcher, Hawk Hill). He returns to pool swimming coaching after a lifetime of teaching, coaching and competing in, a diversified list of ocean sports. A 15 year resident of Maui, Ron spent 4 years coaching with the Lahaina Swim Team, training and competing in open ocean swims and Outrigger Canoe racing with Lahaina Canoe Club and Hawaiian Canoe Club, with 5 appearances in the 32 mile World Championship, Molokai Chanel crossing.
In 2010, after moving to Northern California, Coach Ron co-founded the Lake Tahoe Waterman foundation, with the idea to expand the community of water sports like Standup Paddling, Prone Paddling and Outrigger Canoe racing by offering Elite level coaching and equipment. Team Tahoe Waterman now races in most West Coast events including the U.S. and World Outrigger Championships and has built a thriving youth camp, Tahoe Watergroms.
As a 20+ year member of the Wildwood Crest Beach Patrol, Coach Ron now has directed the Crest Futures since 2018. The Futures program is a developmental and competitive ocean skills program offered by WCBP for 13 to 15 yr olds who seek to become ocean lifeguards.
